narrowed outlook for 2000 operating loss to $38 million from $45 million.

boosted estimate of Homestore.com 2000 revenue to $177 million from $141 million.

advanced forecast for break-even point to first-quarter 2001 from third-quarter 2001.

company reported loss per share Wednesday that was narrower than Wall Street forecast.

shares up 13/16 at 23-15/16.
