Steve look at heavy(link) after hours trading:
there were several blocks of 12-50k traded on NN at 38.4 and ALA at 48.6, then !!! 200k on NN at 39 and 160k on ALA at
49.375
So, someone was taking profit, but later someone was buying
on larger volume at higher price

Networld+ Interoop 2000 starts Monday. I would expect Newbridge to announced some nice contract.
May be in connection to its 1998 win with AT&T Solution
for large corporate backbone.
Last year it was IBM Recovery Network.
This year.... (General Motors??).We'll see....
But I could be wrong.

Also NN next week has 3DSL European RoadShow, to promote its
TV,Video, voice and multiple internet access over copper wire.
So far Kingstom Comm. (150 million pounds),New Edge of USA (over 200 million $) and AT&T Canada (50 million $) signed up for NN xDSL.
