No argument from me. This critique can be applied to the Justice System at large IMO. There is a very simple formula, however, for establishing societal guidelines. Mutual benefit. All healthy relationships spring from this. All destructive mechanisms come from a lack there of. A drug pusher (day-trading his way to wealth) is not considering the mutual benefit obtained by him and returned in some form to society. A high tech salesman using cocaine and booze (cosmetic surgery) to help him charm a client into signing on the bottom line is not as concerned with societies bottom line as he is his own.
