Merging with Vanstar destroyed the balance sheet. Combined with decreasing margins in hardware in the sector, the company hit a brickwall. I'm still wondering how/if Warburg got out, holding 33% of the company following the merger. I'm assuming the motivation behind what I now percieve as a shotgun wedding between the two companies sponsored by institutional investors, was preserving the possibility of exiting their positions before final call.
