No, some people are always cranky and bitter. Medication doesn't help.

Glad to see you around here again, DoK. You're one of our thread's finer contributors when you have the time out from your busy practice. Because this is a thread about investing strategies in options, there are widely divergent styles, portfolios, experience and views. That's all welcome and fine. It seems we suffered a major debacle when we asked for the personal attacking to stop. I don't think it's about the market--that type of attacking happened in finer times, too. So we're doing our best to put an end to it.

OT: How's medicine? Just been conducting/editing a conversation btw Joshua Lederberg (Nobel Laureate) and a CDC guy on emerging infections--asked them to "debate" the topic. Lederberg thinks we should view microbes in terms of the ecology of our cohabitation with them, rather than simple war. He thinks our metaphor has gotten us into trouble. (Might apply to this thread too, <gggg>). The war approach has led to increasing antibiotic resistance, for instance. An ecological approach notes that in most cases microbes domesticate us and cohabitate with us to mutual benefit--in fact, we'd be dead without 'em. If we understand how they work and need to work we might find better ways to combat or prevent pandemics. West Nile Virus being one we're particularly worried about here on the East Coast, with summer coming again.

steve... i concur...

if you read what started this, it was my challenge to a post that "deep in the money" calls afford no safety....

we can deal in fact...or myth, we seems to be the "belief de jour" at times around here....
