Very very interested in this company. Just saw an hour long show on Corvis and Human Genome and I very much like the Mr. Huber, his foresight, knowledge, and directional capabilities. This is definitely a company worth watching and one that I will most likely by a small piece of after the IPO, or before if I can get some through Schwab.

Mention of Corvis here:

The most promising prospective initial public offering? Possibly Corvis (IPO info), a high-speed optical switch and router maker that announced plans to raise $400 million recently. LightReading editor Peter Heywood reports that the company allegedly turned down a $10 billion buyout offer by a few months ago despite having produced no revenue and $181 million in losses since its founding in 1997. According to Heywood, one subsidiary claims to hold the world record for dense wavelength division multiplexing systems capable of handling very high bandwidths over very long distances --a big deal for telephone carriers that pay richly for electrical regeneration over their long-haul networks. The firm has a good pedigree: Founder David Huber was founder in 1992 of Ciena (CIEN, news, msgs), a pioneer in the optical-component industry.
