Wow! I had no idea. It's a long, long way from Ayn Rand's knee to Hillary's. Amazing.

Preston, are you saying that Andrea Mitchell, currently the chief NBC News foreign correspondent, is Hillary's campaign manager? Got a site for that my friend?

And what is your reasoning for the statement that there is no basis for the value of the US dollar? A number of factors influence the value of a nation's currency, chiefly among them the strength of the economy vis-a-vis other country's economies and the state of fiscal policy, i.e. are the government's coffers in surplus or deficit. I think you'll agree that the US is in good shape on both counts. Granted, the balance of trade is not so good, but what else is new? Apparently the currency markets which, after all, set the value of the dollar, don't see that as an overriding factor. Even a continued rise in interest rates probably won't hurt the dollar too badly since any economic slowdown in the US will result in an even greater slowdown in Asia and Japan, which depend on exports to the US. Any comments?
