Pete, I sent you a PM, but this site claims that accuracy improved dramatically on May 2.

It indicates that immediately after SA turnoff, accuracy improved to 2.8m "circular error probably." Basically, 50% of the time the combined latitude/longitude error was less than nine feet.

The receiver used was a Trimble SV6. This receiver is actually obsolete and the SV8 which replaced it only uses the L1 band C/A code signal. So I guess ionosphere delay cancellation error is not very significant.
