Will Socket A boards be available by the time Duron is released? More importantly, will they still require an expensive six-layer design? Performance will no doubt be strong, but what about the cost?

Tenchusatsu

Why would Via go from a 4 layer board with KX133 to a 6 layer board? Does that make sense to you? Or are you just throwing napalm around.

Milo

P.S. I think you already know the cost to AMD will be down significatly.

Tenchusatsu,

re:"I never meant to say that Spitfire chipsets were going to be unstable."

Good.

Lots of good questions too.

I must wait to see what will be available.

My guess is all of these different reports are speculation based upon several different conversations with AMD employees scattered around the globe.

As Charles would say,

Let's wait and see.......
