Oh, and one other thing, at one point M.R. unveiled one of EMCs earlier storage products of a few years ago. He said that at the time of this product, the world's needs were at about 5 terabytes. He said that he has been asked why is it he is making systems now that can provide as much as 5 terabytes (i.e., isn't that overkill?). He explained how they have recently provided a 5 terabyte system for British Telecom? for one application for them.

He said that, therefore, they have one company that requires what the entire world needed not long ago to meet the needs of just one of their applications.

Dear BI*RI: Thank you very much for your summary of the annual meeting. As to the 12B figure, shouldnt that be 2001 not 2,000? Sounds like everyone was pretty excited and questions pretty slight. Now if they can just find those 6,000 employees!! Suggest they start at MSFT. I know I would love to be getting in on the EMC stock option program. JDN
