On my computer with Win98se, I enter the document I want to fax into my word processor, select "print" from the drop down "File" selection. I am then given the choice in the window of "select printer". I select from that choice my fax program as the printer and go from there. Hope this helps you.

hi bob, well, you've received two replies. hopefully they contain what you need to figure out the fax question. i use a canon multi-function peripheral for faxing and it has desktop management software for pc faxing. fact is, i do very little pc faxing. it's almost all done the 'old fashioned' way.... generate a hard copy and stuff it into the fax. <g3> having said that, i do have a fax program loaded on my machine and i get there via the same clickstream you provided. there i find something called phone tools, and it looks pretty trick. upon further investigation (can you now tell that i never use it?) i see that it is supported by dell, so it had to have been preloaded as part of the factory software bundle. so if you have a dell machine, look for phone tools. one more idea is when you go to add/remove, click the 'windows setup' tab. this will display the installed components. by highlighting individual components and clicking 'details', you'll be able to view more info. perhaps looking under 'communications' would provide further insights? i doubt that i have assisted you here, bob. maybe just shed some light. <g3> careful with those hallucinations :) mark

Robert I found the Fax wizard and related files by entering "fax" in the named section of find.Fax is located in MS Office and MS Works. Ed
