loffy....october 1998...

remember dell....gap down on open from 61 or so to 40.75.....i went long at 41...closed the day at 46....retraced a bit, then ran to 100+ (sold it in december 99 at 48 (96 presplit)........everything opened down, some imbalance delays, vix swelled....

still believe this phase will not end with a "whimper"....either explosive up or down...

There's disagreement on the exact points indicating oversold and overbought on the VIX. At the nadir of the crash this year, the VIX reached approximately 38. The VIX as of last night was about 35, if using sentiment indicators at all (and many traders still don't) the VIX over 30 is reliable, IMO.
