Thank you for the reply Saukriver. Unfortunately, I am one of those people who has sat and done nothing with my MSFT holding during the recent decline and I am only now belatedly taking a closer look. I tend to agree with many of your conclusions. Another market MSFT is targeting unsuccessfully is WIND's RTOS market.

However, I am guessing the obituaries for the desktop PC business are premature and MSFT's core business will be strong for at least a couple of more years with earnings surprises to the upside---especially since MSFT recently lowered analyst's expectations. I am tending to think the worst of the damage to the stock price may be over and I am favoring hanging on in the near term.

I suppose I need to start checking in on the MSFT thread---darn. I look forward to any more comments you may have.

Best Regards, Huey
