Aus,

Regarding Combo Flash/SRAM: Flash memory and SRAM (or DRAM) have distinct functions in an embedded appliance(i.e. cell phone). Flash and SRAM are combined in a single package in order to reduce the board real estate. I understand that the integration of (large capacity) SRAM and Flash into a single silicon chip is not a viable option at the moment. The process of manufacturing and production of Flash is very different from SRAM or DRAM.
Combo products are stacked silicon chips in a single package.
