I always like the one that prescribed:

"Don't get into a wrestling match with a pig, you'll both end up in the muck, but the pig will enjoy it."

.."Never try to teach a pig to sing. It wastes your time, and it annoys the pig."...

That reminded me of another swine-related adage...

"Never wrestle with a pig -- because you both get dirty -- but the pig loves it !!!"

Question from a long time lurker:

Did the pig analogy come before or after uf's link to that picture?

I don't think it is very nice to use this as an analogy.

I happen to find the person in that picture to be extremely attractive. She happens to be a vision of beauty.
All that, plus a brain to match.

I also find that method of panning for gold to be a very wise method. It beckons me.

The author has a giant aluminum foil ball in the middle of his living room. He is waiting for the next raise in price of aluminum to cash it in. (He may have to widen his front door to do so.)

Rubber band prices have been falling. Therefore he is looking for ideas for what to do with a 3,000 lb. rubber band ball. (Are rubber bands entering the bowling alley yet?)

Is it possible to make money from my 100 yard long paperclip chain?

Sorry for the Bloat.
I couldn't resist.
