Pat, how many shares of CMTO do you hold and what were your dates of purchase?

Of course the company press release conflicts with Gilder's description - anyone reading the company press release and the Gilder report would notice some differences. That is precisely why I posted both together. The question is the degree and significance as it concerns Gilder's overall report. The differences apparently relate to active use of floor space, precise use of floor space, and perhaps number of workers.

While the company may be bound both in its regulatory filings and other notice filings, including even press releases to be quite specific and precise in all descriptions, the GTR is clearly not such a document.

You are attempting to convert a generalized description of one segment of a technology letter, (historically written in a stylized manner), into a massive misrepresentation by George Gilder to readers of his newsletter and prospective shareholders, who already have been given notice directly or indirectly by AVNX via widely posted news release , as to the precise nature of their expansion.

What is this TGR you always refer to. Does GG have another report out??

Seriously-
Why don't you spend some time & energy providing the board with some useful commentary -- I think you've made your point about GG's AVNX comments. It's getting rather painful to listen to you.

Pat, hello again. As usual, your DD is very accurate (with the exception of that old TI/ECIL thingy :)). Simon Cao is the owner of precisely two patents. One issued while he was at E-tek, the other a joint patent between Avanex and Fujitsu.

In addition, E-tek owns precisely 69. Avanex owns a grand total of 1.

This information is up-to-date as of the the 1st week of May. BTW, this information is free for anyone to search at patent.womplex.ibm.com

There is no way to tell (that I know) how many patents he has pending. But this is largely irrelevant, since patents which are pending, are not necessarily granted.

I, personally, am listed as a co-contributor on 8 patents from my time spent at IBM, while having submitted well over 20. This is probably about average; about 1 in 3 patents which may be pending, actually get granted.
