American Spirit: There is a nice article from Robert Walberg on his Briefing.com investing website :

briefing.com

entitled: "There are Riches in these Rags", in which he highlights the apparel retailing sector as a great value play. The stocks he included are: ANF, AEOS, ANN, BEBE, DK, GPS, RL, and PLCE. Based on his analysis, including projected growth rates and cash per share, etc., the most compelling buys are (IMHO): ANF, BEBE, and AEOS.

I am loathe to buy anything other than tech stocks, but ANF and BEBE are compelling buys and may be easy doubles over the next 6-12 months. Unlike tech stocks, the summer(vacation) and fall (back-to-school) seasons are usually strong for the top retailers and by then we should be nearing an end to the Fed rate hikes. Even if I'm wrong and the Fed hikes continue throughout the year, these stocks are so beaten up that there is little down side.

Incidentally, beaten down tech stocks that look interesting are: RBAK, FFIV, CTXS, CNXT, TMWD, and PHCM.
