The fuel cell market has just begun to emerge. Check out this interesting article about fuel cells that I found: greenmountain.com

Yes, Kevin. . .the utilities all over America have already cut deals with GE Fuel Cells. Consumers will primarily buy fuel cells from utility companies. . . which will deliver, install and maintain. . . offering plain ol' electric service as a backup. GE acts as the distributor to the utilities. . .and Plug Power is the manufacturer.

I believe there will be very few direct sales of fuel cell units. I doubt highly that it will be a product found at Home Depot for the do-it-yourselfer. . . and I know that the utilities are not willing to give up their revenues when these things catch on like running water.

I also believe that fuel cells are the future of power in America and moreso to underdeveloped nations. I believe that there is significant potential in the fuel cell industry and it is nothing like solar panels.

Price is expected to be between about $4k and $8k when these hit the general market. I have been saying the same thing over and over since I heard that Plug Power had applied for an IPO.
