That was an analyst. As you point out, he made that prediction presplit, and it added to the momentum and temporarily sent QCOM up to 800 presplit, or 200 post split. Thanx for pointing that out.

ya know, it just hit me: maybe ed is referring to the guy on the Q threads (is it DWB?) who used to sign off "Q10K=Y2K+5"... now he does it "Q2.5k=Y2K+5"...

PS why don't the insurgents just go ahead and create their own new thread? If they're so much better at options than Jill and Poet, everyone will desert this one and they will get what they want that way, no?

ritch...."qcom misinformation"

i think a visit to the postings will show comments, even by a thread icon of 250 by earnings,(exceeding the 1000 analysts comment),perhaps 400 by first quarter, 382 in 2000 and 3000 by 2006......all around the peaking of 200 or so (all post split)

my point, if not clear is the "never end" mania that occurs as a top is being formed....you can learn from a topping action or just buy into it as many did....qcom jan calls with strikes/prem that cost over 200 to exercise may not offer the returns that the mania period buyers believed...
