being a light heavy yourself, i'm surprised that you don't remember mike rossman. unless you're too young, maybe. mike fought guys like matthew saad muhamed (matt franklin, abandoned as a baby on a doorstep in philly) and eddie mustafa. rossman wasn't memorable in many ways, except he was a talented in-fighter, worked very well to the body. he was jewish, used to wear powder blue trunks with a white star of david on them, and his nickname was 'the jewish bomber'! <g3>

do you recall a light heavy named indian yaqui lopez? he fought a lot of good ones. i saw him fight locally in northern california.

and what about danny 'little red' lopez? that little guy used to dig lefts to the body like nobody i've ever seen.

thanks for your thoughts and response to my post. you sound like you know the fight game pretty good.

:)

LPS5:

What's you impression of Mike Tyson? After all of his well publicized problems, is he good for the sport of boxing? Should he be prohibited from future fights after the Holyfield incident? => Personally, I think the guy's a great fighter, but as a person he's the biggest loser in the sport. Although it may not be fair, I wish they'd never let him fight again and set an example for other fighters and the children that look up to them.

Also, is the fight management business as corrupt as suggested? If so, can it ever be cleaned up?
