OT...Elian's Situation Ike, Long time lurker and appreciative of your insight into the market. You may have identified a good path forward for Elian. I posted my opinions about Elian's case on Lastshadow's thread a couple of weeks ago, but then I found out there's an SI thread on the Elian situation. I hope the publicity around this situation causes all who ponder this situation to use their energy constructively by finding out what they can do to help the less fortunate children in their own neighborhoods. There are children treated far worse in America every day than Elian will likely ever be treated, even if he returns to Cuba. I just finished reading Dave Peltzer's book, "A Child Called It", and encourage all who have the means to look at how you can help children locally. Volunteer at local schools and community centers, become a big brother/big sister, become a Foster Parent, become a Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA)?The needs are great for personal involvement as well as money.
