I remember being at The Little Bighorn about five years ago
on a trail ride from via Saskatchewan to Devil's Tower, Wyoming.

That Aristotelian view you described was shared by Crazy Horse. Our Sioux guide explained that Crazy Horse trusted his senses and knew what was right to the depth of his soul.

There was no question in the mind of Crazy Horse if he would live free or become a slave.

Custer on his journey west wanted to prove he was a great Buffalo hunter and went riding out in the hills. Several miles out he spotted some Buffalo, took aim and shot his horse right through the head. Custer had something to prove. A heroic existence was enough to validate Crazy Horse.

Listening to Plato will make you think, listening to Aristotle will allow you to act, listening to Kant hastens atrophy of the brain.

Thanks for that post...
