PCSTEL, OmniTRACS was definitely going to use Globalstar services at one stage, but that cooled a couple of years ago. I suppose it's still on the cards sometime. I can't recall the links and Q! has deleted all the old press releases, but it was back there in 1996.

I doubt Q! wants the Loral assets other than Globalstar and they can buy Globalstar stock directly at a reasonable negotiated price as part of a vendor-financing and stock-buying deal.

If you mean we little guys, I'm not interested in Loral other assets and just want the CDMA stuff. Picking the bottom is my game. I don't believe a complete loss on Globalstar is possible.

Sword and co are taking a big risk if they wait for zero. $1000 a share will arrive before zero and they have no limit on their upward losses.

Maurice is right, Qualcomm is definitely committed to G*s success. I heard Irwin Jacobs speak in New Orleans last fall to a Globalstar demo crowd of about 50 people along with Mike Kerr and Tony Narvarra. He basically said that Q had been working on satellite telephony for about 2 years but couldn't seem to get it off the ground due to costs, etc. But then Loral came along and the rest is history. I have no doubt that Irwin is deeply committed to G* and will be interested in providing more funds as needed. Hell they just doled out 144M to a marginal ISP Netzero which seems a lot more risky than G*.
Why are they waiting to pony up the money? My guess is that there is no rush since we're funded till 4th Q. so why not wait to see how much will be needed, and continue the sense of urgency till then. I just hope the Q investment will not dilute us too much. Watch out shorts, you're going to get Q'd!!!!!!!!!!!!!
