Maybe so. But how about energy? The demand for energy has been rising over the last 20 years, and yet, the energy stocks haven't seen any huge returns. There are two reasons for this -- one, the energy stocks were run up to overvalued levels in the '70s and two, at some point, supply overtook demand. In the case of technology, we see a similar situation, only much worse. The stocks have been bid up to maniacal levels, and growth rates of 30%-40% or more is sure to bring in oodles of competition. And once there is enough competition, supply will overtake demand, and we know what happens when that happens!
