"And Barron's doesn't always strike out. Their Amazon.bomb cover was pretty timely, I think."

Well after two YEARS of unrelenting attacks, Bearon's FINALLY got it right (though it's STILL up several hundred if not thousand % since they BEGAN their attacks). Of course, Amacon rallied pretty strongly from the day after the very minor Monday negative response day following their article. Incidentally, THAT article and investors totally ignoring of it marked a very important turning point for Bearon's and the public's opinion of them - no more 10 to 20% Monday up or down response days to their articles! Then there's "Intel Not Inside" which preceeded immediately to almost double after the article on its' way to numerous all time highs. Then there's TYC whose CEO was compared favorably to Welch on a cover story shortly before it TANKED. About the only things TYC and GE have in common is their extremely aggressive accounting and non-stop stock promotion. Let's not forget about the top Bearon's praise of AOL called. Lastly, after YEARS of ragging on DELL, almost immediately upon their throwing in the towel and beginning to praise it, DELL has done squat. (the lack of put income on its own stock has really hurt "growth"). Bearon's is a bunch of clowns who WRITE about it because they can't DO it.
