I don't want to be right but there is too much uncertainty with regard to rates. We all know that higher rates can hurt the market but uncertainty can too. In many cases the atmosphere created by potential rate hikes is more painful than the increase itself. 50 basis points would hurt but I think we could rally on the hike just because most people will feel like the fed will be on hold for a while after that.
