GOP Babe: Goose and Gander

>>>>>
It is only natural that questions would be put to these people which I truly believe deserves the courtesy of a reply.
That's the American way, no matter what political leanings one may have. No one on this board as special questioning rights as far as I know. So if the tables are turned to put a better perspective on just where everyone is coming from, it helps determine the veracity of the poster.

GOPBabe: Does this go for GG too?

Personally, I rather like GG, and he does have a grasp on where technology is taking us (not a firm one), and yes I have read his stuff and enjoyed it. Met him a few times, he might even remember my name. Made/makes me think. Different spin, brain candy.

But what gets my goat is he has slipped onto the low road. What? Yea, low road. Not satisfied with being a "techno-visionary", he has commercialized it. He has spun it into some kind of weird spiritual thing, sort of like a big Neon sign with Christ Inc. on top of a used car lot, or a church with "convenient" gambling machines inside.

You could argue that Jesus himself would need a PR person these days, and probably have an room full of corporate attorneys fighting off the Philistines with writs. Maybe, but I doubt it.

GG isn't the first, and won't be the last to let his ego run away with him, and to grey the line of morality to the point where he can't see it anymore. Why does this happen? Because most people just tolerate it, and some continue to eat it up!

But why is it these people ALWAYS cling to the cloak of Christianity? As a Christian, and a card carrying member of the GOP, it offends me.

Look, I don't want GG to do a monk-in-the-cave-thing, nor 40 days in the desert, just disclose his interests when discussing specific companies.

Got no problem with general discussions of future, technology, good ideas in general terms, an occasional specific example. Make a good engineer a hero. Go ahead, fine stuff.

Just be honest, and set a better example. Call yourself a Christian and GOP, and buddy, you better be a Boy Scout in your business dealings too!

So, GOPBabe, I "truly believe my challenge to GG deserves the courtesy of a reply" from him. Think I heard that somewhere...

Clean it up GG, and stop hiding behind politics and religion, especially mine.
