Barrons or 20 analysts?

Good question. I just try to remember that both are a bit biased.

Barrons is biased in the direction of selling magazines. Certainly attacking the most profitable stock of the 90's is a good way to get attention.

Analysts work for companies that, in general, I would think would very much like to work for Cisco in any way possible, (for the same reason noted above).

Grains of Salt, and all that.

Despite the Bearon's CSCO is the leader in network infrastructure. They own the market and are earning revenues and making EPS at an accelerating rate befitting their PE ratio.

Do you think Chambers would overpay for a company? I don't. They are too smart. They know exactly the results of their purchases and how these will put money on the table for the company.

Acquisitions at CSCO are not made for the sake of acquiring a particular company.
