>>> The Internet WILL change the face of business around the world. PERIOD!<<<<

thats not my argument - but the level that it will change business has been way oversold by the hypemasters (like lnux at 300 opening day ipo for example-g-), and by the way we should let benkea dissect the balance sheetprofit loss statement of your cheeky.dotcom >>>>a 4.5 million dollar profit.<<<

and see if it is real or it is memorex =g=

1 out of 99 dot.coms that went public that fed at the pig trough in 98/99/00 will be in business in 10 years, out of the 99 that will be gone only a few will be taken over the rest will be dr. poop's.

this is the normal for IPO's, and you say your the voice of reason, in a time where dot com ipo's have been given opening day ipo prices day in/day out that equal whole countries market caps, with at best case scenario of 50% success rate, a worse case scenario of 5% success rate, yes voice of reason you are, yes you are, yoda of the internet -g-

don't waste this threads time anymore, with your cheeky kid trophy display of your defeat of the y2k gloomers or any other gloomers, if you need your ego fed more and want to continue this discussion go back to the tulips thread where it began.

Gee the last time we had this discusstion was right on the eve of a 2000 point drop in the dow from jan thru march, i wonder what damage you've got instore for the market this time sunshine kid -g-

AS did the Radio and Telivision. Would you like some RCA stock, or would you prefer ZENITH???? Do you think AMZN will survive once Wallmart gets online? What happens to margins at that point? The effect of the Internet has never been in question it is the validity of earnings models, and assumptions about growth that are being questioned. CSCO aint growing 40% a year for 5 years, IE it aint worth the multiple. On the other hand old economy stocks like Ford and GM will wring out huge middle men like dealers and financing wereby they will increase their Margins. So if you like the internet so much my opinion is that GM is a better Internet play then is an AMAZOn or EBAY.

"That's funny. One of my techs reported a 1.5 million first quarter loss in 1999. The first
quarter of 2000, they posted a 4.5 million dollar profit."

And its tradding at 600 times those earnings, so whats the point?

Hey Cheeky,

Don't concern yourself with people like bb, they have probably never tried to start up anything new, let alone, try anything new, from tech to tech analysis..

good luck..c
