Rates . . .

The rates are not etched in stone. The service providers are charging 3 to 4 times what they are paying G*, so they have plenty of room to lower per minute charges. We are already starting to see discounting, and special promotions. I believe the service providers are currently in the process of feeling out the market, and will adjust rates as needed to optimize revenues.

Jay Fisk-Most of Europe is in Zone 1, so the rate would be less than 2$/minute not " $3.89 to $4.49 per Minute" as you say. Second, that's in satellite mode, which one would only use when outside range of terrestrial means, anyway. Third, G* has indicated that calls to toll free LD services will soon be enabled, in which case an international call would cost the regional satellite rate of as little as 1.39/minute+ what the LD carrier of your choice charges.

As to your bottome line "Not Marketable in the Big Numbers Required," what are big numbers? to reach cash flow b/e G* needs about 500K subs worldwide. That compares to about 200M conventional cell phones sold each year. The total CAPACITY of G* is only about 7M subscribers.
