From AMDZone -

"Thanks to Michael of Germany for sending in news on the KX133 chipset motherboards:
Some German sites got mail in which is claimed that the Thunderbird/VIA
KX133 problem is a timing problem.
The Adressbus of the Athlon has a tolerancy holding information for up
to 300ps. The Irongate Chipset needs 200ps (<300 = okay), the KX133
needs 250ps (<300 = okay). The Thunderbird has only a tolerancy of
210ps! The Irongate Chipset will work, but the KX133 exceeds this
tolerancy and fails. Since not only the chipset but the mainboard layout
have influence on this, some mainboards may work and Asus claims the K7V
will.

Looks like Via took a couple of short cuts when they designed the KX133. But there is a chance high-quality KX133 motherboards will work with Thunderbird.

hmaly...re: Also 2 mill Willy for 4q-00 is ten times Intels guidence.

hmaly, those were kash's figures and Dan was only responding to them. I agree, Willy will be lucky to get to a tenth of those figures.
