INTC didn't catch there mistake until OEM's had already built 300,000 Mother boards

But those boards weren't in the hands of customers yet. With AMD on the cusp of shipping Thunderbird don't you think they could have even said 1 month ago "hey, this doesn't work in a socket with the Via chipset"? It would have saved a lot of frustration by a lot of people who've bought boards since then.

Please re-educate me, sir. 840? problem? I don't think so. But then again, it is more convenient to lump ALL of the positves into the negative whirlpool of Caminogate, which, by the way, has been resolved for over 6 months now. Thunder_urd and Splitfire are not yet resolved, are they?
