Gold over CSCO last week? Who cares?

RB, are you seriously thinking that Gold will outperform CSCO over the next 5 years? I would think the only possible way that could happen is that Cisco would actually go backwards over that time period. (or that Inflation would run wild in that time).

Don't you agree that looking at performance over a week is totally ludicrous? I cringe even when I heard CNBC asking analysts about there weekly picks. (you can tell I'm not a daytrader).

And about "overhyped". Certainly one of the reasons CSCO is "over hyped" as you say, is because of it's performance the last 5 years. What's gold done in that time? Will it grow revenues by 50% for the next 5 years? :)

How ironic! Here's a "Motley Fool" article that uses gold rushes metaphorically to recommend owning CSCO:

Uncle Frank:

First, the market has already discounted the good CSCO earnings news. Second, inflation worries are beginning to loom large in the minds of investors.
