I would quibble with "monopoly", but substitute "the dominent market share" for it and its been historically true.....a bit less so lately.

And yes, there is a lot of IBM in TSA.....they didn't pay IBM off on technology for nothing (6 million bucks as I recall).

Given sunk capital costs, profits are just not going to show up without more volume (units), and raising suspension prices won't raise volume. That is the box they are in.

The best hope for HTCH is that suspensions per drive will level out closer to 2 than 1.7 in desktop units.
