Can "curmudgeons" be female?

I think it's been adequately proven that females can indeed be curmudgeonly. (Though I think usually the "b" word is applied in those cases...)

I think we're exempt from the no-grinnee rule...

I'd check with cuf about that. He might turn this into a moderated thread and ban us from it.

we're only decorative anyway..like grinnees

Well, personally I find grinnees and other emoticons carry substance as well as decoration in that they convey tone-of-voice, facial expression, and other elements of evolved communication. OTOH, true curmudgeons speak in growls with only scowls on their faces; the only appropriate emoticon would be the frowny-face :-( and it would be redundant to use it all the time.

Curmudgeons hate redundancy.

COUNTING DOWN TO VEGAS: 11 days (12 for me)

Two more of those "grinnees" and you lose your Cirque de Soleil ticket. (which is a decidedly uncurmudgeonly activity anyway...unless you go and complain about it not being worth the high price.)

Aunt Nancy violently disagrees with that stance.

I've got scars to prove it.

That may explain why I'm a curmudgeon.
