I think it is a transaction that makes a pile of sense for ALA. If you run the comparisons between ALA, LU, CSCO, and NT on a price to sales basis, ALA looks awfully vulnerable to me. If they don't make some aggressive moves that smell of future growth, they may wind up bieng CSCO shareholders. My understanding is that they are weak in the ISP and enterprise world, (I don't think Newbridge changed that a whole bunch) so maybe picking up a world class IP PBX and market share to compete more effectively with LU and NT in the high end PBX market is a part of the cure for what ails them.

I have been meaning to ask you what you think is in the cards for Terry Mathews' future. What is the Kanata gosip?

I noticed Ben Mikula has restated a $54 12 month target. Too soon to touch anything right now, but I think he is right on the bright future.
