Hey Folks - wakey, wakey.

Hasn't anyone on this thread heard about the settlement with DOJ? What gives? Reported in the Washington Post. Saw it on the news moments ago. No break-up is the only detail I have at this time.

I think another interesting question revolves around the use of such software as Microsoft LookOut! in the federal government. We've seen a couple of serious security compromises take place in recent years by means of personal computing devices, notably the compromise of nuclear weapons secrets and strategic information related to them.

Chasing a couple of laptops around the State Department seems to be little but a sideshow if government offices are putting out the welcome mat to information attack and compromise with software like LookOut! and Internet Exploder.

Does anyone know which congressional committees oversee IT procurement in the federal government? It definitely seems time to do a little congressional letter writing.
