>> the argument of better drugs therefore better prices is absolete, prolonging life is not increased productivity and if you would like to be more specific better drugs prolong life and Social Security expenses. Social Security recipents usually are retired people and therefore not productive just consuming.

Haim, you are nothing if not candid. You're also pretty negative, but that's probably an occupational hazard; being in operational restructuring, you must be constantly dealing with companies that are failing. My question is, have these experiences helped you develop a productive investing strategy? If not, why should anyone bother to listen to your dark comments?

Are you suggesting we should stop developing life prolonging drugs and just let those unproductive retired people die earlier so they won't consume too much?

What exactly does this all have to do with Qualcomm? In case you haven't looked, that's the topic of this thread.

Ok--traded in the Explorer for a Geo Metro, woke up at 7AM instead of 11AM, left the life of the self employed and started the breakfast shift at Mickey D's, and stopped those antibiotics for that damn pneumonia. Am I a good person now?

What about all the attendants at nursing homes, wheelchair and walker manufacturers, false teeth makers, magnifying glass manufacturers, Cadillac dealers, Florida real estate tycoons, cafeteria workers, hair net makers, comfy shoe makers, clappers (" I fell and I can't get up!"), prune juice impresarios, Grey Tour operators, etc., etc., which the aging population will keep gainfully employed and thriving?
