Mani - RE: ". And considering that it is mostly in the Nasdaq I think it may just be the Barrons article on CSCO. It is fairly negative and CSCO has the biggest market cap."

What's this story about? How negative is it? I just read an article in Fortune about CSCO and it was pretty good.

A lot of people blame Barron for the recent "crash" in the high fliers. I could see if this article which will come out tomorrow and just became available spooked some of the future traders.

Mani,

If people are blaming it on the CSCO, that's the excuse. The real scare is interest rates and not how much the Feds will raise them but whether the Feds will engineer a soft landing or not. Up until the last week and half, many economists having been saying that inflation is not a problem. However the economic reports that have come out in the last week, ending with the employment report, indicate that inflation is here and the Feds must respond. Now can they respond successfully and curb inflation without putting us into in recession.

That's the million dollar question that will probably plague the markets for the next 6 months.
