OT Mani, anyone else interested........ I ran some benchmarks on my new Athlon 700 system. System is: Athlon 700Mhz .18 Austin Week 16 2000 Aopen TNT2 32meg AGP4x video 128Meg PC133 Micron ASUS K7V using the original 1003 BIOS (1005 available) WD 30gig HD 5400rpm ATA66 InWin 300w Athlon approved midtower case Win98 (old version) I set CAS to 2 and disabled antivirus software. The NIC was still on line. I verified the memory was running at 133 (4/3) CPUMark 99 was 66.0 I downloaded SisSoft Sandra 2000: CPU Benchmark CPU DHRYSTONE 2200 MIPS FPU WHETSTONE 975 MFLOPS CPU Multimedia INTEGER MMX 2382 it/s FLOATING POINT 3DNow Enh 3273 it/s Memory Benchmarks CPU/Memory Bandwidth 443 MB/S FPU/Memory Bandwidth 550 MB/S fwiw steve

That's right, immediately! That's what futures do, they react fast, that's what they are designed to do. Mani, One could say we are both right....your view is micro, mine is macro. My point is that if it wasn't for the CSCO article, the futures would find another reason to be down. say that couple of hours ago, they all sudden acted up because of the news which came out last week is none sense. Rarely do I speak nonsense. S&P is more interest rate sensitive than the Nasdaq, why have they not followed suite? The S&P did not rally last week like the Naz did. NASDAQ futures took a big dive few hour ago, all the sudden. Now you are telling me that is because of the unemployment report last week. No way! Sometimes it can be very healthy to admit that you are wrong even when you are not. ted
