I posted this a while back... but buried it as the source of something I found more interesting:

Gateway offers Win2k with its business Athlons.

I was surprised there were no comments on this since we had discussed it months back.

I was planning on pitching Athlon systems for my former employer... and when I was starting up the talk the system buyer just pointed to the new box on the floor: Gateway 1GHz Athlon.

He was excited about the 1 GHz but hadn't heard of the Athlon's FP prowess. Further, he didn't even know that the 1 GHz PIII were out. He normally buys from Gateway or Dell. I suggested he run some benchmarks (real-world tasks) and see how it fares. They also have some PIII systems with RDRAM but this is the Athlon in their office.
