If the difference is $800 and not $100-$150 why do we see identical PCs from Dell and others with 128M of RDRAM priced at 100-200 over SDRAM prices.

Keep in mind the RDRAM installed in Dell desktops is currently the 266 Mhz (PC 533??) version, not the full 400 Mhz (PC 800). When Dell starts installing PC 800 (in June according to the Dell sales rep)then $100-$200 over SDRAM would be acceptable, IMO. Right now a comparably equipped RDRAM (PC 533) vs. SDRAM is about $250 extra. Not worth it for that version of RDRAM.
