Well I wasn't expecting that. Are you sure about the value of INTC's MU investment having grown to an amount exceeding their costs in direct DRDRAM support?

I really find that hard to believe. What you're telling me is that INTC is net positive on its RMBS investment even without factoring in their RMBS warrants?

If this is true then I have to go back to the drawing board. It isn't immediately clear to me at all why I haven't seen anything from them about buying DRDRAM. Do they expect to control the chip, motherboard and system markets for free? I don't think so.

I can understand a fab house not announcing that they are going to produce chips they can't make yet. I can't say that I have seen it happen very often in this industry, but I can understand it. But the question is why I am not hearing INTC announce that they are ordering RMBS chips. What reason could they have for hiding such activity?

And if they are now in the black on their Billion dollar investment, I would assume that any fab house with an mba on its staff would be wondering the same thing.

Thanks for the answer but I am afraid I would be more accepting of INTC's asserted support if I knew they had some cash at risk.
