SOOOO tru.... ;-) Nice to have a place where one can learn from/with reasonable folks. Dave has done it again, I think he loves leading me into these mazes..... THX 70% owned by Keyspan Energy (NYSE KSE) who will merge with Eastern Enterprises (NYSE EFU) who will inturn merge with Energynorth Inc. (NYSE EI)on the same day. (the EFU and EI mergers had been previously agreed to prior to the KSE EFU merger)EI also announced a 7.99% stake by Gabelli Group effective May 2. All of the NYSE listed companies are primarily gas distribution companies in the Northeast. Energynorth is based in my home town and is a sleepy, traditional New England style company. Looks like this will give Keyspan a very large market in the Northeast. There has been public demand for conversion of coal/oil fired power plants to be converted to cleaner Nat Gas, specifically at the Bow NH plant (coal) and the Portsmouth plant (oil I believe). There is also the spectre of what to do with Seabrook a continual pain in the a$$ for PSNH. Gotta run and do some more diggin.
