I could just scream:Monday May 15 7:44 PM ET Penn St. QB Casey Charged With Aggravated Assault STATE COLLEGE, Pa. (Reuters) - Penn State quarterback Rashard Casey Monday was charged with aggravated assault and released on $5,000 bail after an incident early Sunday morning outside a Hoboken nightclub. Casey and Desmond Miller, both 22 and former high school teammates, were charged with beating Patrick Fitzsimmons, an off-duty police officer in Hoboken, Casey's hometown, authorities said. Fitzsimmons was treated at a hospital and released, but Casey could face more serious charges, pending the decision of a grand jury after the extent of the alleged victim's injuries are determined. Authorities said it would roughly be 8-to-12 weeks for the investigation to be presented to the grand jury. Hoboken police chief Carmen LaBrunno told the Newark Star-Ledger the squabble might have started when Casey noticed Fitzsimmons, who is white, was out with a black woman. The altercation was one-sided, with Casey and Miller beating Fitzsimmons unconscious. Another former teammate at Hoboken High School, Syracuse running back Keeon Walker, attempted to intervene but failed to stop Casey and Miller from battering the officer's head into the ground and kicking him, LaBrunno told the paper. Casey, Miller and Walker all are black. There is a chance the further charge of bias could be levied. Casey, a fifth-year senior, saw extensive playing time last season and is slated to be the starter for 2000. He completed 67-of-110 passes (60.9 percent) for 1,002 yards and seven touchdowns against four interceptions last season for the Nittany Lions. Gary
