Passport DCT maximizes the capabilities of Motorola set-top boxes and maintains the performance, interactivity and intuitive user interface that Passport is known for. The Motorola DCT-1000 and -2000 series boxes with Passport DCT are scheduled for summer release. More than 400,000 digital cable television subscribers are using Passport for the Pegasus platform, and soon the thousands of viewers using Motorola hardware will be able to enjoy the same benefits. The ability to purchase movies and pay-per-view events in advance, scroll through favorite channels with the push of a button, and preview one channel while watching another are just a few of the features provided with the Passport software. Pioneer has also announced that it is in the final stages of porting Passport to the new DCT-5000 series.
