Bob fill us in on what you would have seen for QLGC going forward a year or two and how that can change now. Tell us about management.

Bob, I am moderately disappointed. I also own Qlgc. I think that Ancor could have tripled its price over the next year. Qlgc is making a great deal.
The pressure to combine is coming from several sources, imho. First, the OEM vendors. Also the threat of Gig-ethernet is forcing greater interoperability and faster time-to market. FC must attain critical mass as fast as possible. The combination solves the interoperability issue, and creates a very competitive end-to-end SAN vendor.
Brocade is a very very tough competitor, with great sales people. Ancor would continue to struggle with them. Ancor will compete better now.
I like Qlogic, and think this will be a great investment. However, I wish the merger was happening 1 year from now. On the other hand, the combined company will do even better, but will take 2 or 3 years to get there.
As a long term Ancor shareholder, I am resigned to waiting, and waiting, and waiting, and waiting.....wj
