Dear INTCfan: I think it was pure SENSATIONALISM. Since earnings are due to be out more people than ever would be watching CSCO. Remember, Barrons sells news and BAD NEWS sells best. This too shall pass. I found nothing new in the article and if anything it seemed to UNDERSTATE the fact that CSCO feels that they obtain leading edge products this way CHEAPER then maintaining sufficiently large R&D development to do the same. JDN

Timing of the article was everything. It's no coincidence that Barrons released this over the weekend to coincide with the upcoming earnings report. Today is a good day to buy some May 65's or some shares for the bounce after earnings. No reason to expect CSCO to not make or beat numbers tomorrow.

Only people like KM would short now (I still remember her shorting CSCO at $90 (pre-split) after some negative report came out last time).
