Thank you! One reason I'm not ready to buy FFIV yet, in addition to concern about the falling knife, is that I haven't DD'd the partnerships. This is obviously a big consideration--. I think the immediate point I was trying to make stands, though: the COMS partnership is (was) designed to develop a switch that incorporated FFIV's technology into the chassis. This is a "proof of concept" that FFIV's software can be incorporated into a hardware solution -- and therefore may have value to a gear maker that's looking to acquire intelligent-networking technology.
