Actually Jeff, if I knew anything abut the market with certain, I'd probably not be spending time on SI.

My opinion (and that's what it's worth), is that we are in a downtrend. I do not see signs that we've bottomed, so if it's a range, we've not seen the lower limit yet.

I'm looking at strategies that involve buying PUTs and selling CALLs. Need to adapt strategies to what the market is doing. If I recall, don't the books say a combination (strangle) is right for these times?

The point is, all the low hanging fruit is gone. Now if we still want the fruit, we have to get up on the ladder..... more risk, less stable.
